At YMCA Camp Immokalee, we’re always striving to enhance the camp experience for our campers, their families, and our guests. We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming addition of new yurts, set to be installed right after this summer season. These yurts are a testament to our commitment to providing innovative and comfortable accommodations that bring campers closer to nature while maintaining the sense of community that makes Camp Immokalee so special.
A yurt is a round, tent-like structure. Our new yurts will provide a cozy, comfortable space for campers to stay in. These yurts are built with a wooden frame and covered with durable fabric, making them weather-resistant. Inside, you’ll find plenty of space, comfortable beds, and AC!
Since 1909, Camp Immokalee has been dedicated to fostering youth development, building healthy spirits, minds, and bodies through a range of outdoor activities and experiences. Over the past five years, the First Coast YMCA has invested approximately $3 million into Camp Immokalee, enhancing our facilities and programs to ensure that every camper has a safe, memorable, and transformative experience.
Our commitment to continuous improvement doesn’t stop here. Up next on our list are renovations for our dining hall and kybos (bathroom facilities). These upgrades will further enhance the camp experience, providing better amenities and ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards.
Your support is crucial in helping us continue this journey of growth and enhancement. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us make a compelling case for further support and investment in Camp Immokalee. By giving now, you’re playing a vital role in ensuring that future generations of campers can enjoy the same life-changing experiences that have been the hallmark of Camp Immokalee for over a century. Your generosity helps us build a stronger, more vibrant camp community.
