Welcome to YMCA Camp Immokalee – A Place to Grow, Explore, and Belong

For more than a century, YMCA Camp Immokalee has been a home for adventure, learning, and lifelong friendships. Founded in 1909, our camp has always been rooted in the belief that every child deserves the chance to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Nestled on the shores of Lake Brooklyn in Keystone Heights, Florida, we are proud to be part of the First Coast YMCA headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida.

Our History:
Where It All Began

YMCA Camp Immokalee was established with a simple but powerful mission: to create a space where young people could build character, develop independence, and connect with nature. The camp’s early days were shaped by the vision of Reverend E.F. Montgomery, whose dedication to outdoor education in North Florida influenced the development of camps across the region. His love for nature and passion for guiding young people laid the foundation for the lasting legacy of Camp Immokalee—a place where generations of campers have learned, grown, and formed lifelong connections.

The Heart of Keystone Heights

Set in the peaceful Lake Region of North Florida, Keystone Heights has been a perfect home for Camp Immokalee. Known for its small-town charm and beautiful natural surroundings, Keystone Heights is where outdoor adventure and community come together. The area is home to Gold Head Branch State Park, one of Florida’s first state parks, as well as numerous lakes, including Lake Brooklyn, where campers can swim, canoe, and enjoy stunning sunsets.

Evolving With the Times: What We Offer Today

While Camp Immokalee has deep historical roots, it continues to grow and adapt to meet the needs of today’s campers and families. Our wide range of activities, from zip-lining and horseback riding to canoeing and arts & crafts, ensures that campers of all ages can find something to enjoy. We are proud to maintain a tech-free environment, allowing campers to fully engage with nature and form real connections with others.

But Camp Immokalee is no longer just summer camp. We are a year-round destination for corporate retreats, family camps, and group rentals. Whether you’re looking to plan a wedding by the lake, a company retreat in nature, or a weekend getaway for your group, our lakeside cabins and facilities offer the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Each group experience is tailored to fit your needs, with access to our full range of amenities.
