Labor Day Family Camp

This Labor Day weekend, trade screen time for campfires and to-do lists for laughter. YMCA Camp Immokalee’s Family Camp is a stress-free, all-inclusive getaway where families of all kinds can relax, explore, and grow closer—together. This year’s theme is Family Color Wars—get ready for team spirit, friendly challenges, and camp-wide fun!

What’s Included

Your weekend includes two nights of lodging, all meals from Saturday breakfast to Sunday lunch, classic camp activities like archery and lake fun, evening campfires with s’mores, and hands-on enrichment through crafts and nature walks. All in a screen-free, low-impact environment designed for connection.

Sample Weekend Schedule

Here’s a general idea of what your weekend might look like. Activities vary by season and weather, but the fun is always guaranteed—and Color Wars challenges may pop up anytime!

Friday

  • 5:00–6:30 PM – Arrival & Check-In (look for the green sign!)
  • 7:00 PM – Welcome Gathering & Color Wars Kickoff
  • 7:30 PM – Evening Activities – Options like sunset lake cruises, ziplining, or self-guided crafts and games
  • Note: Dinner is not provided Friday night. We recommend Johnny’s BBQ or Stone’s in Keystone Heights!

Saturday

  • 8:00 AM – Breakfast
  • 9:30–11:30 AM – Camp Activities (options like ziplining, canoeing, archery, crafts, nature walks)
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch
  • 1:00–3:00 PM – Rest or Free Time
  • 3:30–5:30 PM – More Camp Activities (options like banana boating, mini golf, barn visits, or BBs)
  • 6:00 PM – Dinner
  • 7:30 PM – Evening Program

Sunday

  • 8:00 AM – Breakfast
  • 9:30–11:30 AM – Final Camp Activities (options like tubing, crafts, etc.)
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch & Farewells
  • 1:00 PM – Camp Store Open & Check-Out

Family Color Wars: Join the Fun—Your Way!

This year’s Family Camp theme is Color Wars—and every family is part of the action! You’ll be assigned a color team before arriving and can earn points throughout the weekend by participating in activities, showing team spirit, and completing fun challenges. Whether you’re all-in or just cheering from the sidelines, there’s a place for everyone on the team!


Good to Know Before You Go

Supervision
Family Camp is a shared experience—children must be supervised by an adult family member at all times.

Lodging Details
Cabins have A/C, outlets, and bunk beds. Semi-private cabins are duplex-style with a curtain divider and shared private bathroom. Tent campers set up near Kokomo Cabin with access to a toilet and sink, plus nearby bathhouses.

Bathrooms
Kokybo Bathhouse offers 8 private, family-style bathrooms (4 ADA accessible). The older Kybo Bathhouse is also available—please limit to one family at a time.

Activities & Age Guidelines
Most high-impact activities (like ziplining and tubing) are for ages 5+ and have height and weight requirements. Younger campers can enjoy crafts, nature play, and barn visits.

What to Bring
Bring bedding, towels, toiletries, closed-toe shoes, and a life jacket for children under 6. We’ll send a full packing list after registration.

Meals & Food
All meals are provided Saturday through Sunday lunch. No dinner Friday—grab a bite in town! Snacks are welcome in cabins. The Camp Store has snacks, drinks, and merch (cash or card).

Weather & Rain Plan
Camp happens rain or shine! We’ve got covered spaces and backup activities ready.

Community Vibes
Most families are first-time campers—so don’t worry if you’re new. Say hi, join a game, and make some new camp friends!

A Few No-Gos
No pets, alcohol, weapons, or fireworks on camp property.
