Why Camp Immokalee?

Camp Immokalee isn’t just a place for fun—it’s a place for learning, growth, and connection. With over 80 acres of diverse ecosystems, we turn the outdoors into an extension of the classroom. Students will experience:

  • Personal Growth and Teamwork: Activities that develop resilience, cooperation, and self-confidence.
  • Curriculum-Aligned Learning: Our team includes former teachers who can tailor programs to meet Florida and Georgia standards.
  • Diverse Natural Environments: Students explore sandy lake beaches, freshwater ecosystems, woodlands, and our working barn, each offering unique learning opportunities.

We handle the details so that teachers can focus on what matters—giving students a rewarding educational experience that stays with them.

Tailored Programs for Schools

We offer two main program types, each designed to support different goals:

Fun Field Trips

Ideal for end-of-year celebrations, team bonding, or just a fun day out, these trips are filled with classic camp activities to help students connect and unwind.

  • Sample Activities:
    • Adventure Course (ropes, zipline, climbing wall)
    • Team-Building Games
    • Lake Activities (kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing)
    • Camp Games (Capture the Flag, Amazing Race)
    • Evening Campfire with s’mores and stories (for overnight groups)

Educational Field Trips

For schools looking to reinforce classroom learning, these trips align with curriculum goals and focus on hands-on learning through nature exploration.

  • Sample Activities:
    • Guided Nature Hikes and Environmental Science: Explore diverse ecosystems—including sandy lake beaches, woodlands, and wetlands—to learn about plant identification, local wildlife, and conservation efforts, reinforcing science standards.
    • Water Safety and Aquatic Skills: Introduces students to water safety principles with real-world practice in our freshwater lake, perfect for physical education and life skills development.
    • Outdoor Skills and Life Lessons: Orienteering, survival basics, and archery teach problem-solving, resilience, and patience, supporting social-emotional learning.

Both program types can be customized as day trips or overnight experiences to fit your schedule and objectives.
