🎉 You’re Registered! Halloween Camp 2025

YMCA Camp Immokalee
📍 6765 Immokalee Rd. Keystone Heights, FL
🗓 October 24-26, 2025 (Friday–Sunday)

We are so excited to welcome your camper to Halloween Camp 2025! This page is your go-to guide for everything you need to know before arriving at camp. Our goal is simple: to make this weekend easy, magical, and unforgettable for your family.

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-In: Friday, October 24
    • ImmokaSquad families: 5:30–6:00 PM
    • All other campers: 6:00–7:00 PM
  • Special ImmokaSquad Welcome: Arrive between 5:30–6:00 PM to enjoy an early dinner before the fun begins! (If you arrive after 6:00 PM, please plan to eat beforehand so your camper starts the night happy and fueled.)
  • Check-Out: Sunday, October 26, 1:00–2:00 PM

How Check-In Will Work

Final instructions, including whether check-in will be in the Dining Hall or Airnasium, will be emailed closer to camp. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Park and Walk In — Park in the main lot and head to the check-in tables.
  2. Get Cabin Assignment — Our team will greet you by name and provide your camper’s cabin info.
  3. Health Check — Quick screenings for lice and athlete’s foot to ensure a healthy weekend for everyone.
  4. Turn in Medications — Meds must be in their original packaging and include only what’s needed for the weekend.
  5. Settle In — After check-in, campers head to their cabins to unpack.
    • Most girls’ families will drive to unload luggage at cabins.
    • Boys will carry their luggage to cabins; wagons are a big help if you’d like to bring one!

Our staff will be everywhere to welcome you, answer questions, and make sure you and your camper feel taken care of from the very first moment.

Refunds & Cancellations

We know plans change. That’s why:

  • Everything except the deposit is refundable until one week before camp.
  • Deposits are non-refundable.

If something unexpected comes up, reach out—we’ll always do our best to support your family.

Payment Deadlines

All camp balances are due two weeks before the start of camp. Please log in to your CampBrain account to confirm your payment status.

Costumes & Trick-or-Treating 🎃

Halloween Camp is all about festive fun!

  • To make our camp-wide trick-or-treat extra special, we invite families to donate individually wrapped candy or small Halloween goodies to share.
  • Costumes are highly encouraged, but keep them camp-appropriate—nothing too scary so even our youngest campers can enjoy the weekend.

Packing & Preparation

We want you to feel fully prepared so your camper can relax and enjoy every moment:

  • Download the full Halloween Camp Packing List
  • Must-Haves: flashlight, costume, cozy layers for cool nights, and closed-toe shoes.
  • Health Forms: An abbreviated form is available in your CampBrain account—please complete it before arrival.
  • Food Allergies and Special Diets: If your camper has a food allergy or special diet (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.), please let us know at least one week prior to camp.
  • Medications:
    • Must be in their original packaging
    • Send only what’s needed for camp
    • All medication other than EpiPens and inhalers MUST be turned in during check in.
  • Forgot something? Don’t worry—we’ll have a small stash of extras for common items.

Cabin Requests & Assignments

We know cabin life is a big part of the camp experience, and we do our best to make sure every camper feels comfortable:

  • We do not send cabin assignments ahead of time. This gives our team flexibility to make last-minute adjustments and ensure every camper has a positive experience once everyone arrives.
  • Campers may request up to two cabinmates when registering.
  • Requests are only guaranteed if they’re mutual.
  • Campers must be within two years of age to be placed in the same cabin.

Contacting Campers

  • Emails: Families can send one email to cimmokalee@fcymca.org before 11:00 AM on Saturday. We’ll print them and deliver them after lunch—the only camper mail of the weekend.
  • Calls Home: We’ll reach out if there’s above-average homesickness or illness, but otherwise, we focus on helping campers stay present and engaged. Please avoid telling your camper they can call home—it often makes homesickness harder for them.

Photos & Waldo

We know you want to see the magic as it happens! During Halloween Camp, we’ll post photos through Waldo so you can follow along without missing a thing. You can follow along with our Waldo photos here.

Teen Leaders

Teen Leaders are the heart of Halloween Camp!

  • Check-in is at 5:00 PM on Friday whenever possible.
  • We understand school schedules may make this tricky—if you can’t arrive by 5:00, just let us know.
  • Siblings of Teen Leaders may check in early with ImmokaSquad families at 5:30 PM.

Teen Leaders bring the magic to camp—helping younger campers, leading activities, and making memories for everyone.

Homesick & Happy ❤️

A little homesickness is normal, especially for younger campers or first-timers. It’s often a sign your camper is growing in independence—and we’re here to support them every step of the way.

How you can help before camp:

  • Get them involved in the packing process.
  • Keep goodbyes short, confident, and cheerful.
  • Avoid phrases like “If you get scared, you can call us”—this can make adjusting harder.
  • Talk about the fun they’ll have, the friends they’ll make, and how proud you are.

Our staff are trained to recognize homesickness early and guide campers through it with care, patience, and positivity.

When campers work through hard feelings, conflict, and problems outside of parent intervention, they gain valuable skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives!

Dinner Recommendations After Drop-Off

Looking for a great place to eat after check-in? Here are some local favorites, just minutes from camp:

  • Johnny’s BBQ — classic barbecue & family-friendly
  • Cedar River Seafood — fresh seafood and southern favorites
  • Stone’s Irish Pub — cozy, casual, and hearty meals
  • Brooklyn Boys Pizza & Pasta — a local favorite for pizza night

Meet Your Host

Camp Director Serena Rogers and her husband David joined the Camp Immokalee family in late May 2025 and jumped right into a busy summer, where they fell even more in love with our camp community.

Serena is excited to host her very first Family Camp weekend and looks forward to meeting your family! You’ll also meet other friendly and familiar staff members throughout the weekend.

If you have any questions before camp, feel free to reach out to Serena at srogers@fcymca.org. A phone number will be provided at check-in for urgent needs during the weekend.
