Aquatics at Camp Immokalee

Fun-Filled Water Adventures in the Lake Region

In Keystone Heights and the surrounding Lake Region, water is more than scenery—it’s part of daily life. With lakes around every corner, families here understand both the joy and importance of water safety. Yet public pools and swim resources are scarce. That’s where Camp Immokalee steps in, offering a place where kids and families can build skills, gain confidence, and have a blast—whether in our pool or on the beautiful waters of Lake Brooklyn.

Dive into the Fun: Activities for Every Group

For campers and groups alike, Camp Immokalee’s aquatics program has something for everyone. With activities designed to bring excitement and create lasting memories, there’s never a dull moment on the water:

  • Lake Adventures: Every day at camp holds new opportunities—whether you’re tubing, banana boating, canoeing, kayaking, or exploring with CORCL boats.
  • Sailing: Glide across the clear waters of Lake Brooklyn, learning the basics or perfecting your skills. Our sailing sessions offer a peaceful yet thrilling way to experience the lake, making it a favorite for campers and groups.
  • Pool Time & Free Swim: Our pool provides a refreshing space for everyone to unwind and enjoy the water on their own terms.
  • Wakeboarding & Kneeboarding: These high-energy options, available as camp extras and for group rentals, are perfect for those looking to make an extra splash.

With every lake and pool activity, our certified staff ensures a safe and enjoyable experience. At Camp Immokalee, water safety is woven into everything we do, from fun lake adventures to structured skill-building.

Lifeguard Training and Job Opportunities

Camp Immokalee is more than just a place to play; it’s a place to grow. Through our Y-USA Lifeguard Certification Program, we train everyone from teens to seniors, providing them with life-saving skills they can use for a lifetime. And we don’t just train lifeguards—we hire them! We proudly offer a starting wage of $15 an hour, creating meaningful roles where our lifeguards become role models in water safety and community care. Whether they’re overseeing pool free swim or guiding campers on a lake adventure, our lifeguards are an essential part of our mission to keep everyone safe.

A Lake with a Bright Future

Camp Immokalee is fortunate to have Lake Brooklyn as our water playground. Thanks to the Black Creek Water Resource Development Project, Lake Brooklyn will soon see renewed, steady water levels. This initiative will bring up to 10 million gallons per day from Black Creek, stabilizing our lake and providing a safe, clear space for our aquatics programs. By supporting healthy water levels, the project ensures that Camp Immokalee can continue offering lake-based activities that are safe, reliable, and enriching for years to come.
