Winter Camp Details ❄️

🎉 You’re Registered! Winter Camp 2026

YMCA Camp Immokalee
📍 6765 Immokalee Rd. Keystone Heights, FL
🗓 December 28, 2025 – January 3, 2026

You’ve registered — now it’s time to get ready! Winter Camp at YMCA Camp Immokalee is a week of classic camp fun, cool-weather adventures, and the perfect way to kick off a new year.

Everything you need to prepare is right here: check-in times, packing lists, meal info, and what to expect when your camper arrives.

🕓 Check-In & Check-Out

Check-In (Sunday, December 28):

  • Ages 7–9: 2:00–2:30 PM
  • Ages 10–12: 2:30–3:15 PM
  • Ages 13+: 3:15–3:45 PM
If you have more than one camper, please arrive during your younger camper’s check-in window.

Early Check-In Options:

  • CITs & Pathmakers: Arrive at 12:30 PM
  • ImmokaSquad Families: Arrive at 1:30 PM for a special Winter Camp activity — a small “thank you” for helping us grow the camp family!

Not sure what the ImmokaSquad is? It’s our referral program — families who refer a new camper earn early check-in, bonus perks, and some behind-the-scenes magic. If you were part of the ImmokaSquad this summer, your status carries over automatically.

Check-Out (Saturday, January 3):
Pick-up runs 10:00–11:00 AM. Please bring your photo ID — campers will only be released to authorized adults listed on your account.

How Check-In Will Work

Final instructions, including whether check-in will be in the Dining Hall or Airnasium, will be emailed closer to camp. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Park and Walk In — Park in the main lot and head to the check-in tables.
  2. Get Cabin Assignment — Our team will greet you by name and provide your camper’s cabin info.
  3. Health Check — Quick screenings for lice and athlete’s foot to ensure a healthy week for everyone.
  4. Turn in Medications — Meds must be in their original packaging and include only what’s needed for the week.
  5. Settle In — After check-in, campers head to their cabins to unpack.
    • Most girls’ families will drive to unload luggage at cabins.
    • Boys will carry their luggage to cabins; wagons are a big help if you’d like to bring one!

Our staff will be everywhere to welcome you, answer questions, and make sure you and your camper feel taken care of from the very first moment.

🍽️ Meals

We’ll provide all meals from Sunday dinner through Saturday breakfast.

If your camper has any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or special needs, please let us know at least one week before camp begins. Our kitchen and healthcare staff work closely together to ensure safe, balanced meals for every camper.

Refunds & Cancellations

We know plans change. That’s why:

  • Everything except the deposit is refundable until one week before camp.
  • Deposits are non-refundable.

If something unexpected comes up, reach out—we’ll always do our best to support your family.

Payment Deadlines

All camp balances are due two weeks before the start of camp. Please log in to your CampBrain account to confirm your payment status.

Packing & Preparation

We want you to feel fully prepared so your camper can relax and enjoy every moment:

  • Download the full packing list here.
  • Must-Haves: flashlight, cozy layers for cool nights, and closed-toe shoes.
  • Health Forms: A full health form available on CampBrain is due two weeks prior to the start of the session.
  • Physical: All campers must upload a physical completed by a medical professional in the last 24 months. Any physical form works – feel free to use this one or one you already have. If you attended camp in Summer 2025, we can access your previous physical, no need to upload one.
  • Food Allergies and Special Diets: If your camper has a food allergy or special diet (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.), please let us know at least one week prior to camp.
  • Medications:
    • Must be in their original packaging
    • Send only what’s needed for camp
    • All medication other than EpiPens and inhalers MUST be turned in during check in.
  • Forgot something? Don’t worry—we’ll have a small stash of extras for common items.

Cabin Requests & Assignments

We know cabin life is a big part of the camp experience, and we do our best to make sure every camper feels comfortable:

  • We do not send cabin assignments ahead of time. This gives our team flexibility to make last-minute adjustments and ensure every camper has a positive experience once everyone arrives.
  • Campers may request up to two cabinmates when registering.
  • Requests are only guaranteed if they’re mutual.
  • Campers must be within two years of age to be placed in the same cabin.

Contacting Campers

  • Emails: Families can send email to campermail@fcymca.org. Mail will be printed around 11am each day.
  • Mail: Feel free to mail letters or packages (without food!) to camp. You can also drop them off at check in!
  • Calls Home: We’ll reach out if there’s above-average homesickness or illness, but otherwise, we focus on helping campers stay present and engaged. Please avoid telling your camper they can call home—it often makes homesickness harder for them.

Photos & Waldo

We know you want to see the magic as it happens! During Winter Camp, we’ll post photos through Waldo so you can follow along without missing a thing. You can follow along with our Waldo photos here.

Homesick & Happy ❤️

A little homesickness is normal, especially for younger campers or first-timers. It’s often a sign your camper is growing in independence—and we’re here to support them every step of the way.

How you can help before camp:

  • Get them involved in the packing process.
  • Keep goodbyes short, confident, and cheerful.
  • Avoid phrases like “If you get scared, you can call us”—this can make adjusting harder.
  • Talk about the fun they’ll have, the friends they’ll make, and how proud you are.

Our staff are trained to recognize homesickness early and guide campers through it with care, patience, and positivity.

When campers work through hard feelings, conflict, and problems outside of parent intervention, they gain valuable skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives!

We’re Here for You

If you have any questions—big or small—we want to hear from you. Email us at cimmokalee@fcymca.org or call 352-473-4213.

Your camper’s week is our priority, and we’re here to make it as smooth and joyful as possible.

Meet Your Camp Director

Camp Director Serena Rogers and her husband David joined the Camp Immokalee family in late May 2025 and jumped right into a busy summer, where they fell even more in love with our camp community.

If you have any questions before camp, feel free to reach out to Serena at srogers@fcymca.org. A phone number will be provided at check-in for urgent needs during the week.
