Afternoons at Camp Immokalee are all about choice. Our Electives program gives campers the freedom to pursue the activities that excite them most, encouraging independence and allowing them to deepen their skills in areas of interest. From arts and sports to outdoor adventures, Electives offer something for everyone.

Electives allow campers to take charge of their experience, fostering confidence, independence, and decision-making skills. By choosing their own activities, campers can dive deeper into their interests, meet friends who share their passions, and experience the joy of exploring new skills. Sample Electives
Electives vary by session, but here are some examples of what your camper might experience:
- Media Creation: Campers dive into storytelling by creating camp newspapers, podcasts, or videos, capturing memories and learning the basics of media production.
- Video Making: For aspiring filmmakers, this elective teaches the essentials of writing, filming, and directing, giving campers hands-on experience in video creation.
- Pottery: Campers learn the fundamentals of shaping and crafting clay to make their own pottery creations.
- Helping Hands (Camp Service Project): This elective lets campers improve camp through small service projects, leaving a positive impact on the camp they love.
- Archery Level 2: A chance for campers to advance their archery skills, focusing on accuracy and technique.
- Rifles Level 2: This advanced shooting elective builds on basic skills in a controlled, safe environment.

At the start of each week, campers can select their Electives from the available options for that session. Electives let campers focus on areas they love or try something completely new. It’s a great way to meet other campers with similar interests and build skills in a supportive environment.
