Camp Kickoff

Summer starts here.

Camp Kickoff is YMCA Camp Immokalee’s three-night overnight camp for kids entering K–5th grade. It’s three nights of cabins, zipline, archery, lake time, campfires, Evening Activities, and everything else that makes Immokalee feel like Immokalee.

Wednesday, June 2 – Saturday, June 5, 2027

Kids entering K–5th grade who are at least 5 years old by June 2

$225 for Y Household Members | $250 for Non-Members

Three nights. A whole lot of camp.

Zipline. Archery. Pool. Lake. Campfires. Evening Activities. And for 2027, a whole lot of pirates.

Camp Kickoff is intentionally small, but we’re not trying to squeeze a week of camp into three days. We build the schedule around the kids who are actually here.

If you’ve ever tried to get a group of kids this age out the door with everything they need, you know it takes a minute. Someone can’t find a shoe. Someone left their water bottle somewhere. Someone needs one last bathroom trip.

We know that, too.

Activity blocks are a little longer, transitions have some breathing room, and we’re not rushing kids through the day just to stay on schedule.

Who comes to Camp Kickoff?

Mostly kids who are new to overnight camp. Some want to try being away from home without starting with six nights. Some families want to see what Immokalee is all about first. And for some, three nights simply works better for their schedule or budget.

New is normal here. Our counselors expect to make introductions, explain how things work, help kids learn the routines, and pay attention to who hasn’t quite found their people yet.

Your camper doesn’t need to know anyone coming or anything about camp before they get here. We’ve got that handled through games, songs, and time to just be a kid.

And yes, returning campers are welcome, too. They just might find themselves showing a few new campers how things work.

Camp Kickoff: Pirates 🏴‍☠️

Ahoy, mateys. Camp Kickoff is going pirate.

For three nights, cabin groups become crews, the lake becomes the high seas, and there’s treasure to find along the way.

The zipline is still the zipline. The lake is still the lake. Archery is still archery. We’re just adding ships, treasure maps, pirate games, and a suspicious number of people saying “ARRR.”

Bring a costume (or don’t), meet Brooklynbeard, Blackbeard’s long-lost brother, and get ready to join his mighty crew.
